As Christian business owners, my husband and I decided our businesses would operate on Biblical Principles.  Our advice to clients is also influenced by Biblical Principles.  This is where we are different from secular providers of similar services.  Our service is similar in the sense of Real Estate and Construction, however, our approach is different.

For example, many Realtors will encourage a Buyer to buy property that exceeds their monthly affordable payment simply because the client can get the loan to purchase the more expensive property. Since Realtor commissions are based on the purchase price, the more you spend, the more they earn.  However, at RI$, we believe in good stewardship - which is simply, good management of resources made available to you by God.  Being debt free is Biblical, and while mortgage debt is an acceptable debt, being finacially stressed to meet that debt each month is not good stewardship.  Therefore, at RI$, we tend to work backways from your point of affordability rather than forward from our point of personal gain.

Another example, some emergency repairs are actually resolved with minor expenses.   For example, a constant flooding from upstairs might be simply the cause of old caulking in a bathroom.  Fix the caulking and you fix the leak.  Unfortunately, some service providers will not tell you the fix is that simple, and charge a higher than necessary invoice, taking advantage of the client's ignorance.  Also, by providing itemized listing of our repair estimates, we give the do-it-yourselfer the opportunity to save in areas where they feel competent to fix it themselves, or call in a friend for that aspect of the project.

Did you know that giving can be profitable?  The wealth in the hands of Christians is the result of the abundance provided by God to finance the ministries of the church.  However, Christians are often guilty of inadequate tithing, and having a Scrooge mentality toward outreach ministries.  Real Estate transactions often result in a net gain to the Seller.  However, since gains are taxable, Christians would be wise to take advantage of tax laws that permit them to give to Christian charities and ministries of their passion, that not only channel much needed funds to those organizations, but very often can result in a higher net gain, and even long term, continuous income to the Seller.  For more information on that, please contact us.  Churches and Christian ministries, consider inviting us in as guest Presenters to your gatherings to educate your group on how Real Estate transactions can lead to furthering God's work.
